1. Overview
At EZlogic (independent developer), we strive to provide the best service through our Music Summary Chrome Extension. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on subscription payments.
Our Commitment: We want you to be satisfied with Music Summary. If the service doesn't meet your expectations, we offer a fair and transparent refund process.
2. Free Trial Period
7-Day Free Trial: All new users receive a 7-day free trial of Premium features.
- During the trial period, you will NOT be charged
- You can cancel anytime during the trial with no charges
- If you cancel during the trial, you will not be billed
- After 7 days, if you don't cancel, your subscription begins and you'll be charged $5.99/month
3. Subscription Refunds
3.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee (After Trial)
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for first-time paid subscribers:
- If you are not satisfied with the Premium service within the first 30 days after your trial ends (i.e., within 30 days of your first paid charge), you may request a full refund
- This applies only to your first subscription payment (not recurring payments)
- The refund must be requested within 30 days of the original paid purchase date (not including trial period)
- Example: 7-day trial + 30-day guarantee = up to 37 days total to evaluate Premium risk-free
3.2 Recurring Subscription Payments
For recurring monthly subscription payments:
- Payments are non-refundable after the 30-day guarantee period expires
- You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period
4. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
We may consider refunds outside the standard policy in the following cases:
- Technical Issues: If the Extension is unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours due to our technical failure
- Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly or multiple times in error
- Unauthorized Charges: If charges were made without your authorization
- Service Changes: If we make significant changes to the service that materially reduce functionality
Note: Refunds for exceptional circumstances are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are at the sole discretion of EZlogic.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following are NOT eligible for refunds:
- Cancellations during the free trial period (since no payment was made)
- Subscription payments after the initial 30-day guarantee period
- Cancellations made after the renewal date
- Requests based on dissatisfaction after using the service beyond the guarantee period
- Refunds requested due to failure to cancel before renewal
- Services already consumed or used beyond the guarantee period
- Issues caused by third-party platforms (e.g., YouTube Music changes, browser updates) that are outside our control
- Incompatibility with unsupported browsers or operating systems
Important: Music Summary enhances the YouTube Music experience and depends on YouTube Music's availability and APIs. We are not responsible for changes made by YouTube/Google that may affect the Extension's functionality. However, we commit to updating the Extension to maintain compatibility whenever possible.
6. EU Consumer Rights (Right of Withdrawal)
For users in the European Union: Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. However:
- This right does NOT apply during the 7-day free trial (since no payment is made during trial)
- By using the Premium service immediately after the trial ends (and payment begins), you expressly agree to waive the 14-day withdrawal right in exchange for immediate access to Premium features
- Our 30-day money-back guarantee provides MORE protection than the statutory 14-day period, giving you 30 days (after first payment) to request a refund
7. How to Request a Refund
Important: If you want to request a refund, please do NOT cancel your subscription before contacting us. Refunds can only be processed for active subscriptions. If you cancel your subscription first, we will not be able to issue a refund through the payment system. Please email us first, and we will handle both the refund and the cancellation for you.
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

- Include the following information:
- Your email address associated with the subscription
- Transaction ID or receipt number
- Date of purchase
- Reason for refund request
- We will review your request within 5 business days
- If approved, the refund will be processed within 7-10 business days
8. Refund Processing
8.1. Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
8.2. Processing Time: Processing time depends on your payment provider and may take 7-10 business days to appear in your account.
8.3. Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been processed by our payment provider.
8.4. Transaction Fees: Payment processing fees charged by payment providers (typically 2-3% + fixed fee) are non-refundable and may be deducted from the refund amount.
8.5. Currency: Refunds will be issued in the original currency of the transaction. Exchange rate fluctuations between purchase and refund are not our responsibility.
9. Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- During Free Trial: Cancel anytime with no charges
- After Trial: No refund for the current billing period (except within 30-day guarantee window)
- You will retain access until the end of the paid period
- No further charges will be made after cancellation

10. Fair Use and Abuse Prevention
We reserve the right to refuse refunds in cases of:
- Abuse of Policy: Repeated subscription and refund requests (pattern of abuse)
- Excessive Usage: Requesting a refund after extensive use of premium features
- Fraudulent Activity: Suspected fraud, chargebacks, or payment disputes
- Violation of Terms: If your account was terminated for violating our Terms of Service
11. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks:
- Should be a last resort after attempting to resolve the issue with us directly
- May result in immediate termination of your account and access to the service
- May incur additional fees and administrative costs
- Could affect your ability to use our services in the future
We commit to responding to all refund requests within 5 business days. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication.
12. Changes to Refund Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy. We will notify active subscribers of material changes via email.
13. Legal Rights
This Refund Policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights that cannot be waived by this policy. Your local consumer protection laws take priority where they provide greater protection.
